Cardiac embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma in an adult.

A 58-year old man with worsening shortness of breath on exertion for 4 months came to our hospital. Echocardiography revealed an irregular mass measuring 57 mm × 37 mm in the left atrium and mild mitral regurgitation (Fig. 1). Palliative resection of the tumour was performed, and mitral regurgitation was left untreated. Histological diagnosis was embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (Fig. 2).
